This print depicts the common dab, also known as the flat fish. The dab typically occupies the bottom of shallow sandy bays and sand or mud estuaries to feed, and due to its preference for brackish waters, it can sometimes be found several metres up river. The print shows the fish's brown body with characteristic orange markings. Each image was produced using handpainted and collaged stencils.
